Amateur Licencing Exams and Courses
Here is a list of M.B.A.R.S courses and exam dates, please check back here regularly for new dates and information. If you would like to sit an exam that isn't listed here please contact us.
Please Note, exam deadlines will be posted as we have them, for full licences, and Foundation and Intermediate exam dates will be posted as soon as people request them. Courses Likewise.
Tuition and Support:
We offer tuition, and all of our students are offered extra email support. This is availabe as a e-list, which all students for the current courses have the capability to subscribe to. If you are a student and wish to join this group please send an email to tutors@mbars.internationalham.com If you need to practice and would like to try some mock papers why not try Hamtest.co.uk which has many online test questions.
We are now offering ONGOING Trainings on a thursday evening more study matierials can be found at http://www.amateurradiotraining.org
Books and Materials
Copies of the Study guides are available from the club if you require a copy please contact the tutors before the course starts. For the intermediate course we suggest the Velleman kits available through Maplins, unless your experienced enough already to try something more advanced
Exam fees
Fees for the following exams are as follows:
Foundation Exam will be £22.50
Intermediate Exam will be £27.50
Advanced Exam will be £32.50
Exam Night: What you need, A blue or black pen, Photographic Identification, and for the intermediate and full licence a calculator.
